Vigilance officers on Saturday arrested Ganjam district’s Gopalpur NAC Computer Programmer Priyaranjan Maharana on the charge of taking illegal gratification of Rs 2,500 from Prafulla Chandra Dash of Bhanjabihar to process the marriage certificate of his son.
Acting on the complaint of Dash, Vigilance sleuths laid a trap and caught Moharana red-handed while taking the bribe amount. His office room and rented house at Gopalpur was being searched. He would be forwarded to the court, said an official release.
