The Brahampur Bar Association (BBA) has urged the Odisha High Court to take steps to fill up the vacant Judge post in the Brahmapur Civil and Sessions Court soon. A team of bar members comprising president Basant Kumar Panda, vice-president Siva Prasad Mishra and joint secretary Karunakar Panigrahi submitted a memorandum to Justice Sanju Panda of the High Court to this effect when the latter was on a visit to Gopalpur recently. It may be noted that the post has remained vacant since November 27 after Judge Debarata Das was elevated as the Justice of the High Court. Cases are piling up in the court day-by-day, the bar members appraised Justice Panda.
