Girl students of the Parala Maharaj Engineering College on Monday held a dharna in front of the college gate and locked the main gate pressing for nonfulfilment of their various demands relating to their hostel.
The students alleged that while the girl’s hostel is meant to accommodate 200 inmates but as many as 300 are lodged there. They also alleged that they have to face a difficult time as the electric voltage remains low throughout the day.
They also demanded that the college authority improve the food quality and take steps for regular and sufficient water supply.
