Members of the city BJP Yuva Morcha (BJYM) staged a demonstration in front of the Bada Bazar police station in Brahmapur on Tuesday protesting the brutal killing of Mahanga BJP leader Kulamani Baral and his associate.
The agitators shouted slogans against Law Minister Pratap Jena and also burnt his effigy. They demanded the removal of Jena from the State Cabinet and his arrest for being allegedly involved in the BJP leaders murder. They also demanded a CBI probe into the incident. District BJYM secretary Kiran Kumar Sahu termed Baral’s killing as ‘cowardice’ “The BJD leaders are involved in various scams and are having a nexus with the mafia and anti-social elements.
When the BJP is exposing their corrupt practices, they are targeting our party members, alleged district BJP president Bibhuti Jena. Former district president Kanhu Charan Pati said there is virtually no law and order in the State. The opposition leaders are being targeted and killed but the Chief Minister is not taking any action against them.
