Newly-appointed VC of Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT) Prof Shyam Sundar Patnaik after formally taking over the charge on Monday said that he aims to establish the BPUT as a university of national repute with many innovative works as well as mass use of digital platform. Interacting with mediapersons, Patnaik informed that his first and foremost task is to use social media as well as digital platform in all spheres of the university works, especially in teaching mode by which teachers as well as students would be benefitted.
He exhorted that by next three months all backlog examinations as well certificate distribution under the BPUT will be cleared. Apart from that by establishment of small smart studio both at Rourkela and Bhubaneswar, the university will use virtual classroom with the help of retired expert professors in various fields of education, especially in technical and professional education. With the help of YouTube and Google, students will be attracted for flexibility of learning and by using modern technology of learning Management System (lMS), the work of BPUT would be more effective and transparent, informed Patnaik.
