The All Odisha BPUT Students’ Association (AOBSA) has welcomed the State Government’s decision to return the money taken from the students for conducting a mega job fair in the city.
The association had been demanding holding of a job fair here, but no fair materialised. The concerned Minister and the BPUT authorities have agreed to return the money, said AOBSA executive committee member Adyaprana Subudhi.
However, the body demanded immediate conduct of a job fair.
Condemning the monopoly attitude of various industrial houses for organising job fairs, AOBSA president Krushna Chandra Jena said, “We also demand 50 per cent employment to Odia youths in the industries of the State. The State Government should direct the industries to give jobs to local youths.”
