Teachers, employees, scholars and students of the Berhampur University felicitated Gopalpur MlA and Higher Education Minister Dr Pradeep Kumar Panigrahy in a meeting held in the university campus on Thursday.
It was presided over by university VC Prof Dipak Kumar Behera. He congratulated Panigrahy, a former student of the institution, for becoming a Minister.
Prof Behera praised Panigrahy for his lobbying for repair and reconstruction of the university after the Phailin last year. He also urged the Minister to continue to support in completing the half-done works of the university.
Among others, Registrar Prof Manmathnath Padhy, PG Council chairman Prof PK Biswas Ray, Prof Bishnu Choudhury, Dr SP Pati, Berhampur University Teachers’ Association president Prof Aswin Kumar Panda, Students Union members, University Staff Association president Dr Ganapati Choudhury and villagers living near the university felicitated Panigrahy.
