The 29-day long world famous biannual festival of Budhi Thakurani Yatra will start here from April 2.
According to rituals, Deshibehera, along with members of his community and local people will go to the sanctum sanctorum of Budhi Thakurani on April 2 night.
After performing a puja, the Aagyanmala will be taken on a public procession to Deshibehera Street where the Subhakhunti will be installed.
On Friday, a procession was taken out from the Deshibehera Street to the Budhi Thakurani temple for the informing the temple committee on the date of the programme.
Among others, P Durga Prasad Deshibehera, former Union Minister Chandra Sekhar Sahu, PCC secretary Bikram Panda, BJP district president Kahnu Charan Pati and BJD district president Subash Moharana were present.
