Sushant Kumar Rath, a Scientific Assistant in the office of the Executive Engineer (MI Division) here, and his wife were arrested and forwarded to court for possessing disproportionate asset to their known sources of income.
Vigilance officials conducted raids at six places, namely his residential flat at Nandighosh apartment, a building at Kalinganagar first lane at Khodasingi, a residential flat at Majhigauri apartment, his father-in-law Brajabandhu Mishras house at Gobara Brahman Sasan under Bhanjanagar police station and his official chamber in the office of the EE (MI Division), Brahmapur on December 27 last and found his assets to be worth Rs 1,55,43,331.
The Vigilance team found Rs 12 lakh alone from the locker of his daughter who is reportedly studying in the Sum Hospital at Bhubaneswar.
