The BN Pur police organised a senior citizens’ meeting under the ‘Aama Police’ programme and discussed their various problems on Wednesday.
Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) HK Dash, IIC Ajaya Kumar Mishra and Nodal Officer Satyanarayan Padhi talked on problems and their solutions. Senior Citizens’ Forum president Rashmi Bihari Dash, Pitambar Panda, Harihar Sahu, Amulya Kumar Das, laugh Club secretary lalit Mohan Rajguru and DM Pathi placed grievances, among others.
It was stressed that identification certificates would be distributed to all senior citizens on behalf of the police. Those who have not received such certificates were requested to submit applications to concerned Nodal Officers soon. Requisite forms are available with all the Nodal Officers.
Notably, the IG and the SP had felicitated and given away such certificates to 80 old people of the city on the Utkal Divas on April 1.
