Members of the EPS 95 National Agitation Committee, Brahmapur Division have urged the Regional Provident Fund Commissioner for implementation of the Supreme Court’s order and Central PF Commissioner’s guidelines for payment of minimum pension of Rs 1,000 per month.
The committee submitted a memorandum to the Regional PF Commissioner in this rega4rd on August 9.
“Shockingly, the beneficiaries of Brahmapur division are in dark in implementation of the order of the apex court so also the guidelines of the Central PF Commissioner. Further, large numbers of beneficiaries are not allowed to avail minimum pension of Rs 1,000 on some pleas or the other at the age of 50 years. Such beneficiaries were forced to retire from service by the State Government though they were able to work till 58 years,” mentioned the memorandum.
They said it is injustice to pay pension of Rs 500’ or Rs 800 even as the minimum pension has been enhanced to Rs1,000. “We are struggling for minimum pension of Rs 7,500 with allied benefits,” the members mentioned.
Rudra Prasad Padhi, Kailash Chandra Mishra, Prafulla Kumar Panda and Suryakant Patro signed the memorandum, among others.
