The Mahan Sangha celebrated its 30th annual function at the Bhanjakala Mandap in Bhubaneswar on Friday. Attending as the chief guest, Union Minister Jual Oram praised the Sangha for its contributions in social awareness, environment, sports and work for the women and child. He also admired the Sangha’s noble project Biswa Niketan old age home.
Actor Prashanta Nanda was present as guest and said Mahan Sangha’s effort to promote history, tradition and cultural heritage of Ganjam district through Brahmapur Mahotsav is really praiseworthy. The Sangha has explored some new artists also, he added. Former Union Minister Chandra Sekhar Sahu was present.
Guests and many achievers were felicitated on the occasion. Founder and president of the Sangha Sushant Sabat chaired the meeting and donated winter clothes to 30 poor people.
Excise Minister Damodar Rout, MPs Prasanna Patasani, Baishnab Charan Parida, Braja Kishore Tripathy and Pratap Shadhangi also addressed the meeting.
More than 700 members joined the function.
