A crucial meeting of the Brahmapur BJP was held here on Saturday afternoon to review the progress in membership drive. District president Bijaya Kumar Swain presided. National assistant general secretary of BJP Shiva Prakashji inaugurated the meeting, while BJP spokesperson Rama Chandra Panda, State vice-president and former Minister Surama Padhi, State Secretary Ashoak Mishra, former president of State Yuva Morcha and observer of Ganjam and Gajapati membership drive Bibhuti Jena and district observer Saroj Sabat were present.
On the eve of Netaji Subash Jayanti on January 23, the party called upon the members to implement the slogan “Booth Chalo, Ghar Chalo Abhiyan” for a period of three days from January 23 to 25 to expedite the membership right at the doors of the rural mass to enroll new members in order to strengthen the party at grassroots level and make BJP as the number one political party in the world, said Shiva Prakashji in his address.
The party declared the names of ten observers, one for each ten Mandals. The observers will be imparted necessary training and skill in the party’s upcoming workshop to be held at Bhubaneswar on January 20, said BJP district secretary Sunil Kumar Sahu.
