A General Body meeting of the Biju Patnaik Senior Citizens’ Forum (BPSCF) Ganjam unit was held here. On the occasion, the forum’s office-bearers election was held.
Senior lawyer Bighnaraj Padhy conducted the election and oath ceremony of newly elected office bearers. The newly elected office bearers are acting president Surjyakant Patro, general secretary Simancal Prasad Bisoyi, secretary Bhismachariya Chaudhuri and executive body members Rabindra Kumar Moharana, Prasant Kumar Mohapatro, Ganapati Behera, Purna Chandra Moharana, Rabindra Nath Pradhan, Binod Jena and Bhaskar Behera.
The forum demanded extension of all the ongoing benefits to all the senior citizens of the country. The Brahmapur Mahanagar Corporation (BeMC) has declared the Brahmapur Good Stead Road PHC will give extensive healthcare to the senior citizens thrice in a week. As the PHC has all the required infrastructure facilities, the move was hailed.
