Acting on a petition filed by India Media Centre (IMC) alleging that the State Government does not give the 35-kg rice to the BPl beneficiaries in the State under the Central Government quota, the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) on Monday issued a notice to Chief Secretary Jugal Kishore Mohapatra asking for a report with four weeks.
The IMC alleged that cut in prescribed quota rice to the BPl beneficiaries amounts violation right to food and human rights.
