The Baripada Stadium, situated in the heart of the town, has been in a miserable condition of late, thanks to indifferent attitude of certain sections of the society as well as the concerned authorities.
lately it is often being witnessed that different organisations, be they social or political, have been using the stadium premises for holding their programmes like meetings and eating etc.
But, sadly, the programme-organisers pay little attention to the aspects of cleanliness of the utilised premises. They rather make it a dirty dumping ground through their mindless scattering of waste materials. Here and there on the ground, they throw their left-over food items, used-up dirty plates, cups and glasses, thus creating an unhealthy, ugly scene in a considerable portion of the stadium.
The careless people pay no attention to and take no steps for, properly cleaning up of the area after use.
As a consequence, the stadium, particularly its western part, looks like a dumping ground of dirty and stinking waste materials.
This latest situation has hurt the sentiments of the conscious citizens of the town. Those early-risers, who go to the stadium every morning for walking, running or some other exercise, feel more pained and dismayed at this miserable plight.
The district administration must come forward to save the situation and wrong-doers, responsible for the unclean atmosphere there, should be fined, they demanded.
