At a time when internet is flooded with various tips for little children during lockdown, a 12-year-old boy in Jajpur has won hearts of many for translating the widely-popular Hindu epic Mahabharata into Odia language during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Without wasting time during the lockdowns, Uday Kumar Sahoo, a Class-VII student of the Shree Aurobinda Nodal School in Jajpur Town, translated the Mahabharata into Odia from original Hindi.

Uday, son of Chandrakant Sahoo and Jayanti of Kharamangi village under Badachana block, alone translated the 240-page Mahabharata to the regional language.
