A 14-year-old boy, who accidentally fell into a water tank at Sector-B of Bandhamunda in the city two days ago, was rescued on Wednesday.
The minor boy Pritam Kiskat of Bandhamunda area was playing with his friends on Monday when he spotted a pigeon.
The minor then chased the pigeon and climbed the 30-feet high water tank.
But he accidentally fell in the water tank and got stuck there.
He shouted for help, but all his efforts went in vain as the water tank was situated in an isolated place and it was huge in height.
On Wednesday, some locals heard the scream of the minor and informed the police. Later, the cops along with the help of the locals rescued Pritam.
He was handed over to his family after the doctors declared him clinically fit.
