An inmate of an institutional quarantine centre in Boudh district died on Thursday. The incident was reported from the Gaudadei quarantine centre.
Official sources said swab sample of the concerned person had been sent for Covid-19 tests. But the quarantine centre inmate died before test results received.
The inmate’s body was taken to the Boudh Covid Care Centre for postmortem.
So far, a total of 50 persons have tested positive for the virus in the district. The number of active cases stands at nine and 41 patients have recovered.
