The Khordha district administration on Wednesday conducted a meeting here seeking cooperation of the booth-level agents of different political parties to create awareness among the voters to link their Voter ID card with the Aadhaar card. According to the National Electoral Rolls Purification & Authentication Programme (NERPAP), Khordha district Collector Niranjan Sahu said, engagement of booth-level volunteers would also prove instrumental in completion of this programme.
The district administration has already completed the training programme for booth level officers (BlO) in this regard. The administration has made the agents understand about purification of the electoral rolls through the CEO Odisha portal and the National Service Voter Portal. Officials told the agents about linking of the Elector’s Photo Identity Card (EPIC) with the Aadhaar number of the registered voter.
