Bonei Forester missing for days

Published on:

A forester of Bonei Forest Division in Sundargarh district has reportedly gone missing for the last three days since September 24 morning.

The matter came to the fore on Saturday after his family members lodged a complaint in this regard at the Bonei police station.

Sources said Forester Paramananda Badanayak (50) had been residing at his official residence at Bonei with his two sons and one daughter while his wife and other family members were staying at his ancestral house at

Tikayatpalli, also under Bonei PS. Tikayatpalli is just 15 km away from Bonei.

According to his family members, Paramananda had left his quarter in a motorcycle at 8.30 PM on Thursday. But, he didn’t return home on the day. He had not taken his mobile phone with him.

After searching here and there for about two days, his family members lodged the complaint with the police on Saturday.

During preliminary investigation,  police have come to know that  Paramananda  had visited several locations but only sitting on the motorcycle. This indicates that the Forester was in a hurry on that day. Staffs had seen Paramanand at around 11.30 am for the last time and had not interacted with him, according to police sources.  “We have started investigation into the case,” said Bonei PS IIC SP Das.
