Two unidentified miscreants hurled bombs at a house in Odia Bazaar under the Darghabazar police station here on Friday evening and escaped in a motorcycle, police said.
“The miscreants came in a motorcycle around 6 pm and threw bombs at the house of Sheikh Babu of the locality,” police said, adding that no one was injured.
Sources said the motive behind the incident could be a previous rivalry between Sheikh Babu and his brother, who are at the loggerheads for the past few days over a family landed property dispute.
The police had intervened to settle the dispute among the warring brothers in October. The city police have launched a massive manhunt to nab the culprits.
