Police on Tuesday arrested one more person in connection with the attack on the RTI activist and BJP leader Sarbeswar Beura on March 27 night in Jajpur district.
The arrested person had hurled bombs at Beura at Imam Nagar under the Dharmasala police station when he was returning home at Jaraka along with an associate in a car.
Beura is now battling for his life at the SCB Medical College Hospital at Cuttack. The motive behind the attack is yet to be established. Police have seized a motor-cycle used in the crime. “Earlier in April, we had arrested three miscreants in this connection. Steps are on to apprehend other absconding accused,” Jajpur SP Rahul PR said.
