A BolBom devotee died while taking bath at the GadagadiaGhat of Mahanadi here in the wee hours of Monday.
The devotee, identified as DebabrataSamal, a resident of Dhamnagar in Bhadrak district, was working in a company at Paradip.
Debabrata along with his friend had come for Jalabhishek (ritual of pouring holy water) at the Dhabaleswar Temple. While the duo were taking holy dip and drawing water in pots for the Jalabhishek, Debabrata slipped into deep water and went missing.
On getting information, Fire Service personnel rushed to the spot and initiated a search operation. After a few hours search, they managed to fish out the body.
Police sent the body to the SCB Medical College Hospital for postmortem.
