The third Boita Bandana Utsav was celebrated at Nahamangapatna village on Saturday. District Planning Board Chairman and Nimapara MlA Samir Ranjan Dash, who was chief guest, inaugurated the programme.
Dash said tradition and social culture is the life line of every Odia. All youths of the society have the responsibility to protect the Odia tradition and culture, he added.
The Bhargavi Youth Club, Nahamangapatna felicitated Dillip Kumar Baral, Suresh Chandra Mohanty, Aneswa Panda and Surendra Puspalak for their contributions in the respective fields.
Among others, Balanga College Principal Prafulla Mohapatra, Nimapara Autonomous College lecturer Subrat Kumar Mohanty, social worker Anup Kumar Parida, ZP Member Sumant Kumar Das and Balanga Cooperative Society President Krupasindhu Dutta were present.
