In compliance to the Union Finance Minister’s Budget speech emphasising the need of opening specialiaed ladies’ bank branches, Chairperson and Managing Director of Bank of India (BoI) VR Iyer soft-launched 14 such branches, one from each Zone of the bank spread in Jharkhand, Bihar, Odisha, West Bengal and Assam on Friday.
The Odisha branch was opened at Patia under the Bhubaneswar Zone and the rest 13 branches were launched in the eastern part of the country.
