BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik on Friday appointed MLA Pranab Prakash (Bobby) Das and former MLA Sanjay Dasburma as party general secretaries in charge of organisation and party headquarters, respectively.
Patnaik also appointed MLA Prataps Keshari Deb as the party’s returning officer.
It may be noted that the posts of general secretaries for organisation and party headquarters are created for the first time in the BJD. The BJP already has a general secretary in charge of organisation in the State.
Pranab Prakash Das, who is known to have earned confidence of BJD president Patnaik since long for his organisational capabilities, now has been formally moved up the party ladder.
