A boat with more than 50 passengers on board got stranded again in the Chilika lake close to Satapada in Puri district on Monday triggering panic among passengers.
Apart from the passengers, the boat was carrying motorcycles, bicycles and several other goods when it got stuck midway, sources said.
The boat was proceeding to Janhikuda in the Krushnaprasad area from Satapada when it got stranded in the middle of the lake. While the reason was yet to be ascertained, the boat reportedly developed some technical glitches after sailing around a kilometer from Satapada.
Getting information, the local administration swung into action and took steps to rescue the passengers who were in a state of panic.
