A debt-ridden woman farmer in Balangir district committed suicide on Saturday night by consuming poison.
As per reports, the deceased farmer, identified as Ujuli Bag of Dhusamunda in the Tureikela area, ended her life by consuming pesticide as she was under stress due to crop loss owing to deficient rainfall.
Ujuli Bag was admitted to a hospital on Saturday night. However, she succumbed to the poisoning after a few hours.
