The BJD organised a workshop here on Friday to train workers on use of WhatsApp to disseminate information about its plans, programmes and achievements of the Naveen Patnaik Government to people at grassroots level.
Nitin Karmakar, who provided training, informed that each district has been allotted a specific number and workers being explained how to get register themselves to get all the updates and information.
He also urged the workers to use WhatsApp at least five times a day. local MP Kalikesh Narayan Singhdeo said the social media is now one of the best and faster ways to spread information. He called upon members to use it frequently and in a proper and responsible way.
Among others, Balangir Municipality Chairman Santoshini Behera, block Chairman Golap Bag and MP nominee lotus Sarangi were present.
