The Brahmapur Municipal Corporation (BMC) will resume its drive to remove the unauthorised hoardings from the city as the civic body has received a green signal from the High Court for the drive.
Earlier, a petition was filed in the High Court by an organisation, Exlent, in this regard. On March 19, the court rejected the petition along with a defamation case against the BMC Commissioner. Notably, while no bid was made for tenders after 2007, a proposal was passed in the BMC for fixing of hoardings for tender purpose.
