PIn the fourth phase of house allotment to slum dwellers at Mahisakha, the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Saturday distributed provisional allotment letters to 68 beneficiaries.
In the earlier three phases, such allotments had been given to 8,898 and 75 beneficiaries, respectively. With Saturday’s allotment a total of 329 houses were distributed at Mahisakhal slum.
Culture and Tourism Minister Ashok Chandra Panda, BMC Mayor Ananta Narayan Jena, Deputy Mayor K Shanti and Corporators distributed the provisional allotment letters to the beneficiaries.
The Bank has facilitated bank linkages up to Rs 1 lakh against 1.20 lakh for each beneficiary. Each beneficiary has deposited Rs 1,95,000 and would repay the rest latter.
