The National law School of India University (NlSIU), Bangalore, will sign an MoU with the SOA National Institute of law (SNIl), established under the SOA University here, soon.

NlSIU Vice-Chancellor Prof R Venkata Rao said this would facilitate faculty and student exchange programmes and provide internship. He was speaking at the 3rd orientation programme of SNIl, which was also addressed by Justice BK Patel of the Odisha High Court and State Information Commissioner Jagadanand. SOA University Vice-Chancellor Prof DK Ray presided over the function.

Justice Patel said law student should learn how to ask the right question and enhance the spirit of curiosity to acquire more knowledge.

Prof Rao quoted from Alvin Toffler’s book Power Shift which predicts shift of power from the United States to ‘knowledge societies’ in India and China in the 21st century. “India, however, has an advantage over China because India is a young country while the neighbouring country is ageing,”he said.
