A blood grouping awareness programme for the children of jail inmates, who are serving life-term imprisonment, was organsied here at the Madhurmayee Model School campus.
Organised by the Care for You, a social forum, the event was inaugurated by retired High Court Justice M Papanna. Blood samples from as many as 56 children were collected.
Speaking on the occasion, Justice Papanna praised the organisers’ efforts for holding such a noble programme and called upon children not to indulge in anti-social activities.
Care for You director Mihir Kumar Das, Model blood bank director Dr Debasis Mishra and many others participated in the programme.
