All the Blood Banks would, henceforth, be known as “Blood Centres”, said the Red Cross State Branch Protection Committee on Tuesday.
The committee has written letters to all the Blood Banks in this regard and they have been instructed to write Blood Centre instead of Blood Bank in the signage as soon as possible.During the name change, all the 55 Blood Banks should display the name of Red Cross and its logos in the sign boards, demanded the Red Cross State Branch Protection Committee.
Earlier two years bank, in the Red Cross executive body meeting, presided over by the Governor, it was decided that all the Blood Banks would display the name and logo of Red Cross. But till now, that decision has not been implemented, rued Protection Committee convenor Dillip Dashsharma.
