City-based ‘Donate a Blanket’ (DAB) team in association with the Axion group organised a blanket collection programme here on Monday with a view to providing relief to underprivileged people in the city from the bone-chilling cold.
Many people from different corners supported the cause by donating blanket and other winter stuffs. More than 30 volunteers from both the groups participated in the drive that collected over 150 winter stuffs. Besides, a few volunteers also visited door-to-door in the nearby area to collect blanket and other winter stuffs from the people.
Earlier, the DAB has collected hundreds of blankets from Saheed Nagar, Shastri Nagar and other places in the city and distributed them to homeless people. People wishing to donate any winter stuff can do so by contacting on 9668861164.
