The black Pulsar gang on Sunday again triggered panic in the Charichak area under the Nimapara police station in Puri district by looting a shop owner of Rs 20,000 at gunpoint.
The three-member gang attacked trader Aimul Khan from behind while he was returning to his Gobindpur village under Bhodar gram panchayat after closing his shop at Charichhak at around 10 pm on Sunday. Aimul fell down on the road and the miscreants snatched Rs 20,000 and a costly mobile from his pocket.
Though Aimul went to lodge a complaint at the Charichhak police outpost soon after the incident, he found none present there. So, he lodged the complaint at the outpost on Monday morning. Police have registered a case and started investigation. No one was arrested by the time filing of this report.
It may be noted that the same gang had recently looted a private staff of Rs 50,000 in the area.
