BJYM demands polls at Utkal

Published on:

The Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha has slammed the Utkal University authorities, the Commissionerate Police and the State Government for their failure in facilitating Students’ Union polls this year at the city-based university. BJYM State unit president Umakanta Patnaik in a Press release alleged that the university and police authorities have failed to evacuate BJD supported nonstudents from the campus who were often making violence in and outside the institute premises. He demanded that the State administration and the university authorities should jointly take a positive decision soon and ensure elections this year failing which, he said, mass student agitation would be organised for sandwiching democratic voice of the students. He alleged that though CM Naveen Patanik had promised a lot for the welfare of the Utkal University, but nothing has happened yet.
