The BJP Yuva Morcha (BJYM) on Sunday held a demonstration at Balipada under the Digapahandi Assembly constituency and burnt an effigy of Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Minister Surjya Narayan Patro.
The BJYM said Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has inducted Patro into the Ministry to prevent infighting in the party. They further said that when Patro was dispossessed of some property he went to court against the CM’s decision. When he was Revenue Minister, he had allotted Government land to many unscrupulous persons.
So, how could the Chief Minister entrust such an important department like Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare to Patro, the BJYM questioned.
BJYM district president Sidhanta Gangdev, State general secretary N Rajendra Kumar, district president Kanhu Charan Pati and Balipada mandal president Govind Bisoyi were present.
