The BJP would launch its ‘Mo Booth Sabuthu Majboot’ programme in the State on June 6, informed party vice-president Sameer Mohanty and programme assistant coordinator Kalandi Samal at a Press conference here on Wednesday.
The programme would begin at 7,000 places across the State by June 10. Party’s State president basanta Panda, KV Singh Deo and two Union Ministers, Jual Oram and Dhermendra Pradhan, would grace the inaugural function, they said.
About 20,000 party activists have been provided training to reach out to 36,000 booths across the State by July 6. BJP national president Amit Shah would join this campaign from June 22 to 24 during which he would visit various booths in Ganjam, Khordha and Jajpur districts.
The main objective of holding the programme is to make various pro-poor schemes of the Union Government reach people in nook and corner of the State. For this, the activists would conduct ‘Jana Audit’ during the programme.
The saffron party leaders claimed that the Centre has been spending huge amounts of money to Odisha to provide pucca houses, electricity, toilets and quality healthcare and education to people of the State.
