BJP Yuva Morcha protests leaders' arrest

Protesting against the ‘undemocratic’ arrest of BJP Yuva Morcha president Umakant Pattnaik along with seven others while presenting the ‘valuable onion’ to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to mark the Dhanteras, BJP workers on Saturday took out marches, staged demonstrations and burnt effigy of the CM at various places across the State.

In Bhubaneswar, hundreds of slogan-shouting workers took out a protest march from the BJP office to the Master Canteen Square, held a meeting and burnt an effigy of the Chief Minister.

Protesting against Patnaik ‘Hitler-like rule’, Yuva Morcha general secretary Thakur Ranjit Das said that by apprehending and harassing the youth leaders by using the servile police and administration the CM is trying to muzzle the voice of the youth, but it won’t be tolerated. Senior party leaders Sameer Mohanty, Dillip Mallick and Mahesh Mohanty were also present.
