BJP youths to expose the criminalisation of State politics

Published on:

BJP Yuva Morcha State president Umakanta Pattnaik held a series of discussions with the Morcha office-bearers at Chhatrapur and Brahmapur organisational districts on Thursday and urged them to enrol more and more youths to the Morcha fold to strengthen the party at the grassroots level.

He said the Morcha would reach out to every door to expose the “criminalisation of politics” during the Naveen Patnaik regime. Security of the common man and, more particularly, of the political rivals of the ruling party are in great danger since the police remain mute spectators to the crimes, Pattnaik alleged.

The Morcha’s membership enrolment drive would be undertaken for a month from August 10 to September 10, he said.

While the Chhatrapur meeting was chaired by Umakanta Mohanty, the meeting at Brahmapur was presided over by Prabhat Kumar Sadangi. The Morcha has a target of enrolling 25,000 youths.

Among others who attended the meeting included BJP district president Bijay K Swain, vice-president Prabir Patra and general secretary Sunil Sahu.
