Protesting against the rape and murder of the minor girl of Kisarnagar, BJP State Yuba Morcha held a demonstration at the Master Canteen Square here on Friday.
The Chief Minister, who is the Home Minister, is responsible for all the incidents of rape and murder in the State, alleged Morcha president Umakant Patnaik. He also cited the cases of Pipli, Kharnasi, Saliasahi and Puri-Konark marine drive.
Morcha general secretary Thakur Ranjit Das said that working women and girls are not safe in the State. He cited the recent murder of Bachansudha Patnayak in Bhubaneswar.
The Morcha demanded resignation of the CM along with suspension of the Kisannagar PS Inspector-in-Charge.
