Hundreds of activists of Bharatiya Janata Party Yuba Morcha(BJPYM) of Kendrapada unit led by its president Dillip Kumar Das on Thursday organised a protest rally from Ram Mandir to Tinimuhani chowk and later burnt an effigy of CM Naveen Patnaik, along with the MP of Kendrapada and all the MLAs of the district ,protesting against the callous and step motherly attitude of the Chief Minister in neglecting the coastal Kendrapada district, which was the Karmabhumi of late Bijubabu. he BJPYM alleged that though the Chief Minister during the election time assured the voters that he would take charge of the district for its development, but the district remained neglected . Though the CM recently decided to set up three Government run medical colleges in Kandhamal,Puri and Jajpur, but unfortunately, the demand for a medical college in Kendrapada district was overlooked, the BJPYM charged.
4Besides,the Kendrapada Autonomous College is yet to get the status of university despite repeated demands, the Morcha lamented.
President of BJPYM Kendrapada unit Dillip Kumar Das said if our two-point charter of demands were not fulfilled by the CM, the agitation would be intensified in all blocks of the district.
