BJP Mahila Morcha activists on Wednesday staged a silent rally against the assault on the Bolgarh woman tehsildar by Begunia BJD MlA Prasant Jagdev and demanded strong action against him.
Morcha members covered their mouths with black cloths and carried out a silent march.
Protestors alleged that the State Government has failed to provide adequate security to women employees.
Moreover, they wanted know why a complaint has not been filed yet against Jagdev yet.
“We want to know who will provide security to working women in the State when Government failed to do so. The Government should take immediate steps to provide protection to all women,” said Morcha president Pravati Parida.
Similarly, Morcha leader Pinki Pradhan said if an on-duty Tehsildar is not secure, how a common woman can be safe in the State.
