The BJP Mahila Morcha on Wednesday filed an FIR with the Mahila police against three police officers for allegedly abusing and molesting some of their members during the gherao of the Naveen Niwas on Tuesday while protesting against the derogatory remarks made by Agriculture Minister Pradeep Maharathy.
In the complaint they alleged that male police officers dragged them, abused them in filthy language and touched them at inappropriate places in front of Naveen Niwas during their protest which is a punishable offence under Sections 354, 354 (A) 354 (B) , 294 , 506, 34 of IPC.
They further stated that the misbehaviour by three police officers has been broadcast in media and the evidence is available in social media. They alleged that this was done at the behest of the ruling party and is highly condemnable. The Morcha demanded stringent action against the guilty senior police officials.
