The BJP would make the inefficiencies and failures of the State Government as poll planks to take on the ruling BJD during the panchayat elections.
The party decided this at a preparatory meeting held here on Tuesday wherein party’s national secretary and Odisha-in-charge Arun Singh, joint secretary (organisation) Soudan Singh, State president Basanta Panda, BJP legislature Party leader KV Singh Deo, State secretary Sharada Prasad Satpathy, district presidents and district in-charges discussed about issues to be raised before people during panchayat pools.
Corruptions at panchayat, block and tehsil levels and BJD leaders’ highhandedness in allotting assistances in exchange of bribes were discussed at length. However, the party would finalise battle plans after the election notification is issued by the State Election Commission, informed party spokesperson Sajjan Sharma.
