The BJP on Sunday decided to take to the streets by staging demonstrations across all 314 blocks in the State on June 29 to protest against the attack on Union Minister Santosh Gangwar’s convoy in Bargarh by ruling BJD party activists on June 24.

The saffron party would also hold a demonstration in front of the Raj Bhavan here on July 4. The decision was taken at a meeting of the party State executive members and office-bearers here attended by party State in-charge Arun Singh, Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and party State president Basanta Panda.

Former party State president KV Singh Deo and two other senior leaders Dilip Ray and Bijoy Mohapatra, who had been skipping various party functions, including the Vikash Utsavs, also attended the meeting.
