BJP State president Kanak Vardan Singh Deo on Monday vehemently said his party would not make any electoral alliance for the forthcoming lok Sabha and Assembly elections. Besides, he informed that the final list of candidates would be released in next three days.

Stating that the party’s State unit was not at all interested in making pre-poll alliance with any party, Sindh Deo said the party is determined to go it alone in the ensuing polls to cash in on the Modi wave.

“The idea of having pre-poll alliance was the creation of media and let’s bury the matter,” he told newsmen while responding to newsmen’s query on whether the BJP would forge an alliance with the three regional outfits,

Aama Odisha, Samata Kranti Dal and Utkal Bharat. Earlier till the last week, there was a move by Odisha Pravari Dr Chandan Mitra and Senior Party member Arun jaitly to have some sort of political alliance or seat sharing with the three parties.

Replying to another query of possible joining of former Minister Rama Krushna Patnaik and his wife Kumudin Patnaik, Singh Deo said Patnaik along with his daughter had met recently and he is now waiting Patnaik’s response to his conditions.

On the refusal of party’s sitting MlA Hitesh Baagarti to fight election from Khariar Assembly constituency, Singh Deo said he would hold discussion with Bagarti on the issue here on Tuesday.

Admitting that Bagarti was interested for Kalahandi lok Sabha seat, he said the party chose him for the Assembly seat in view of his excellent performance.
