In the last 23 years, if anything has happened in Odisha, it is rampant corruption, crimes against women, undemocratic and nonpolitical governance, alleged BJP State president Manmohan Samal on Tuesday.
There is brazen corruption everywhere from panchayats, district-level offices to the State Secretariat. There are scams of Rs 1 crore every year. People’s resentment against the government is the capital for the BJP. During the agitations held by the party in the panchayats two month back against corruption, people’s support proved that there is resentment against the government. The fight for rights for the common people would continue. From November 14 to 18, the party would gherao all the block offices, said Samal.
